The North Shore, in the context of geography of the Island of Oʻahu, refers to the north-facing coastal area of Oʻahu between Kaʻena Point and Kahuku Point. The largest settlement is Haleʻiwa. According to the HBR statistics report, single family homes and condos have seen an increase in new listings for the year to date. New listings are up 11% for homes and up 21% for condos. The number of closed sales for condos does not show much change, however, for single family homes, the number of closed sales has increased 37% as of June 2012. In addition, single family homes are listed on the market for a shorter amount of time than the year prior. The average number of days a listing is on the market until the time it sales is down by 42%.
